In his living room, we spot the typewriter in which he still writes his texts. We were there for the photoshoot that would eventually feature the covers of this collection.

The visit, those few hours, reaffirmed the odd vigor of this artist. Eid is a paladin in reverse – a knight attacking good manners, a wanderer of the underworld, an anarchic captain of an absurd ship – yet he is also a silly clown and a lonely boy. All these facets coexist in the creator and are manifested in his creations. Publishing Eid's full writings was a necessary and urgent gesture.
